Book #2 in Sci-Fi Series

This feels like a Two-Face reference already.  But on this day, 2/2 (2017) I have Book #2 in the Cold Stars sci-fi series of stories up and ready to roll.

(In ebook form, anyway; paperback coming in the next couple weeks.)

A naval scientist leads the expedition to explore a ghost ship in space. Only he can unlock its secrets. And once he does, the universe will never be the same.
A young sniper in training faces his final exam. And now he’ll find out whether he’s predator or prey.
A sarcastic bounty hunter and beautiful assassin join forces, but their quarry is far more dangerous than either imagined.
Three tales of military science fiction, mysterious space opera, and daring pulp adventure, delivered to you from between the Cold Stars and the Endless Dark.

Three exciting stories--about 100 pages in the forth-coming print version--for three bucks.  (Well, $2.99.)

Find it on Amazon, B&N, iBooks, Kobo, Smashwords, and more, right now.

Book #1, by the way, was the novelette The Thorne Legacy… (Only two bucks!)

The Kickstarter for Cirsova issues #3 and #4 is up and accepting all comers!  There are rewards to be had for both meager and generous contributions, not the least of which is knowing that you’re supporting a quarterly indie magazine and the authors who publish within its pages.

I myself, Captain Leonidas Hawksblood, am one such author.  Or rather, one such lively buccaneer of the Vast Empty Sea.  Join me and my crew—Mister Pug, Soot, Pidgeon, Spleen, and Comely John—aboard the Lion’s Share as we venture off for daring-do across the black canvas of stars.  Assuming The Lion’s engines don’t fail us and torpedo tubes can spit for all their worth.

Rewards via Kickstarter are greater than those without, so don’t delay!  You can’t get a better piece of the pie without stealing it, and then you’ll be running for the rest of your days.  Trust me, I’d know!

Here's the description:

Corporal Cranston Thorne is the black sheep of the family and about to be kicked out of System Guard for his selfish and reckless behavior.

His father, Captain Thanos Thorne, would like nothing more than to see that happen. Unfortunately, he can't stay for the trial. A remote outpost at the edge of the system has gone silent and he must take the fleet out to investigate.

The real danger, however, isn't at the edge of the system...

This novelette was Writers of the Future contest finalist in 2012 and also comes in paperback and audio format.  Though only the ebook is free, and it's probably free while you're reading this!  But only for a limited time.
